Do you know Ultraman? Is one of the superhero characters in Japan. This character is relatively known. But how about Ultra Q? If you know this, you are kinda Japan expert!
Ultra Q is a TV series which started in 1966 by Tsuburaya Production. Right after this series and seeing the success of Ultra Q the production company started Ultraman series.
Ultra Q was originally made based on the similar concept of the US TV series Outer Limits and Twilight Zone. Later on the series became more with monsters.
A TV station WOWOW and the Tsuburaya Production announced the new series of Ultra Q called “ NEO Ultra Q” to come January, 2013. Seiichi Tanabe will be the leading role in the NEO who starred in Ring 0, NANA 2 etc. Great news for Ultra Q fans!
Tsuburaya Production called NEO Ultra Q “sequel to Ultra Q in 1966”. Actually in 2004 we saw a sequel of Ultra Q called “Ultra Q dark fantasy “ though, this dark fantasy series is not really mentioned by Tsuburaya Production because, I guess, of the payment issue between Tsuburaya Production and Tsuburaya Entertainment which lead to a law suit.
