Japan Animation Industry Alive and Kicking in the Recession, 2012

The global financial crisis is full on. Kaeru team had been in UK and Germany over the New year and still saw the sign of the weak economy.

 

Japanese companies also suffering esp. because of the strong yen being hitting the export industry.

 

But one industry is still remaining strong, the animation industry, the 2012 result shows. For example, Toei Animation known for its Pretty Cure series, One Piece, Dragon Ball and Digital Monster made the biggest sales (33 billion JPY) in its history. The same goes to many old and young companies in the industry.

 

Supported by the strong fan base Japanese animation will be even more active in this economic hardship for the years to come!!
