This summer was supposed to be a Ghibli summer because two Ghibli movies will come to cinema at the same time.

One was Hayao Miyazaki's Kazetachinu "Wind starts/rises" and the other was Kaguyahime Monogatari ("the tale of the Princess Kaguya ") by Isao Takahata.

5th of Feb, 2013 it was announced that Kaguyahime Monogatari would NOT be in cinema this summer but in autumn due to the production delay.

In August 2013 it was announced that Isao Takahata new movie will be shown on 23th November, 2013.

Mr. Takahata's movie is based on the very old Japanese folklore called Taketori Monogatari ( the tale of the bamboo cutter). He has spent about 8 years for the production of this movie.

Isao Takahata making this movie with a "prescoring" where the voices recorded first and the picture made thereafter.
