GREAT JAPANESE INNS AND HOTELS WITH PRIVATE HOT SPRING BATHS AND VIEW FOR SPRING/SUMMER SEASONS

Many Japan travel fans gave us the positive feedback on the previous article " GREAT JAPANESE INNS WITH PRIVATE HOT SPRING BATHS AND VIEW FOR AUTUMN/WINTER SEASONS " and further asked us to make the more lists. Thus, we introduce more special inn and hotel with your private hot spring bath ("onsen" in Japanese).

Geographically Japan stands on a volcanic line. This explains why we have a lot of earthquakes (!). This also means that the country is full of hot spring. It is said that if you dig anywhere in Japan, you most likely hit the hot ground water (it is just the cost to dig to reach the hot water area underground is usually 1-2mil USD (and of course you may not hit the hot water line in the end if you are unlucky) that we do not dig the ground).

Onegai Kaeru team go to many hot springs in Japan. If day trips to some public hot spring places included, probably 2-3 times a month. Beside this, we go around in Japan and check which place has a nice room, how the food quality is, how the service level is etc.

In the previous article, we mentioned that if you have tattoo, you can not go into public bath, swimming pool and many places in Japan, in which case the hotel with a private hot spring bath is very convenient.  (You can also use a concealer sticker to hide your tattoo but if you have many tattoos, you would look like a mummy! We heard of several cases where a "mummy" was stopped by staff before entering the public bath/swimming pool. So the concealer is not a perfect cure. )  The reason why the private onsen room is so popular is not only because of the tattoo.

After the nice but tiring long day on your trip, you just want to relax without worrying anything at all. There are not many mixed bath in Japan. If you are travelling with your partner or family, you almost always need to split into men and women and go the bath separately. It is a cool experience to share the bath with others like Japanese but sometimes you just want a piece of calmness just enjoying the bath alone or with your loved one or family only.

These are not big global brands so that you may not find them online easily unless you know them already. We want you to experience a special moment in Japan.

With this article, we introduce the great Japanese inns and hotels with private onsen baths we recommend for Spring and Summer season, most of which even many Japanese do not know about.

Well, these places are great for autumn and winter as well as spring and summer. You can book all the hotels from our page.

Please note that not all rooms are equipped with the private baths, be careful when booking and make sure you book the room with the private bath if you need one!
