EMS New Price from 1st of June 2016 Japan Post

Do you buy many things from Japan? Do you ship often many items from Japan by EMS? 

 

This news affect most of you (mainly negatively).

 

Japan Post announced the price hike for EMS starting from 1st of June, 2016. Besides EMS price, Japan Post also increase other price for air mail, SAL and sea. 

 

The highlights are:

Japan Post deletes the price up to 300g. This means you could ship your 300g item to Europe at 1,500JPY but you will need to pay 2,200 JPY after the change. 

 

1) Shipping cost to Asia area [Zone 1] increases by 300 JPY

2) Shipping cost to Americas(exclude South America) and Australia [Zone 2] increases by 500 JPY

3) Shipping cost to Europe [Zone 3] increases by 400 JPY 

4) Shipping cost to South America and Africa [Zone 4] increases by 300 JPY

 

This means if you only ship a small amount of product from Japan, you will pay much more than today. Or if you ship many items separately from Japan, you will pay a lot more.

 

How can you reduce the shipping cost from Japan effectively?
