World Cosplay Summit takes place every year in Aichi.

 

The event duration is 27 July till 5 August.

 

The representatives come from Australia, Brazil, Canada , China , Denmark , Finland , France , Germany , Hong Kong , India , Indonesia , Italy , Japan , Korea , Kuwait , Malaysia , Mexico , Netherlands , Philippines , Portugal , Russia , Sweden , Singapore , Spain , Switzerland , Taiwan , Thailand , UK , USA , Vietnam , Belgium , Chile , Myanmar , Puerto Rico , UAE etc.

During this summit, there are several events.

Laguna Cosplay Festival 2018 at Laguna Tenbosch

All night cosplay photo shooting (this time, cancelled due to the typhoone)

 

1 August

• Meijimura Cosplay 2018 at the Museum Meiji-mura
• Wedding Hall Photo Party at Bleu Leman Nagoya

 

3 August

Underground Cosplay Parade at Central Park Underground Shopping ara

 

4-5 August

World Cosplay Summit at several locatoin including Oasis 21, Nagoya Castle

 

4 August

Niconico cospllection (cosplay fashion show) at Oasis 21 

Note: Niconico also holds a cosplay event in Inkebukuro for Halloween

 

5 August

Osu Cosplay Parade

The biggest cosplay parade probably in Japan.

 

5 August

WCS International Symposium at International Hotel Nagoya 2nd floor

Several university professors talk about serious things.

 

5 August

World Cosplay Championship at Dolphins Arena

More than 30 teams short listed representing their nations compete to get the best award.

Estimated 1000 cosplayers will gather in Osu. You need to reapply to attend this parade.
