Covid-19 may survive for 28 days in lab, may be transmitted via fart and public toilet. Take shower when back home!

Today one Australian research shows the corona virus survives for 28 days (!) in the lab environment (no UV). This means that bank notes, credit card, smartphone and everything we touch may the virus thriving for longer than we previously thought (i.e. one or two days).

Even though some scientists argue that the mucus is the key transmitter and the Australia finding may cause unnecessary anxiety, yet, wearing mask, washing hands, sanitizing the things you have such as smartphone are still the important measures to fight the corona virus.

Yet, we see two big topics but not well discussed.

One is fart and the other is the public toilet.

Fart may carry Covid-19

We have read two separate articles on Covid-19.

One says the virus travels on micro-size particles. The other says that people get the virus from excreta (poo).

Not many try to touch the poo. But we are exposed to so much farts everyday. When the farts are made of micro particles of poo flying and staying on/in the restaurant sofa, airplane/train/bus seats., we think the risk is not small.  We do not need a ass mask to prevent the particle with the virus riding on it. But we need to be aware of the risk of the public seats.

Change your clothes when you get home

So be aware of zillions of virus your clothes may have absorbed when you are out. We recommend you to change your clothes when you get home.

Public Toilet Seat may carry Covid-19

We are pretty much aware of the risk of not washing hands when you come home as we know/see/feel that we touch things with hands. But are you not aware of your lower body also touching a lot when you use a toilet seat?

You wash hands when you use toilet but from our view, you actually need to wash your lower body.

If you think of it, it is not so hard to imagine that you sit on a public toilet seat and go home and sit on the toilet seat of your own home. You may also often touch the toilet seat when you are a man. You wash your hand but not your ass normally when you get home. If summer when you are lightly clothed, the risk could be big as you may sit around in your home, e.g. the chair, the sofa etc.

We know it sounds silly but have WHO already looked into that seriously?

Wash your lower body when you back home esp. when you use a public toilet

It may sound too much. But we recommend you to take a shower to wash your lower body when you are back home esp. when you used a public toilet.
