Hayao Miyazaki, along with Keiko Niwa and Karey Kirkpatrick, was nominated for Writing in an Animated Feature Production at the 40th of Annie Awards for From Up On Poppy Hill.
Unfortunately the team of Miyazaki did not get the award.
Instead it went to Phil Johnston and Jennifer Lee for Wreck-It Ralph by Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Let us hope for the next year!
From Up On Poppy Hill is a movie released in 2011 in Japan based on a comic under the same name by Chizuru Takahashi and written by Tetsuro Sayama.
