When it comes to toilet matter, Japanese takes it so seriously. The heating seat, sound player, water spray function etc.

Now Japan opened a POO museum in Yokohama.

It is called UNKO Museum ("Unko" means "poo" in Japanese)

The museum opened on 15th of March, 2019.

So far more than 50000 people visited it to learn more about faeces and took selfie with various type of poos displayed therein incl. a super big poo.

Open: 10:00AM - 21:00 (enter before 20:30)

IMPORTANT to remember:

To enter, you need to reserve your place first. You can buy on the day of your visit but the ticket may be sold out.

1600JPY for Jr. high or older (1700JPY if you buy on the day of your visit)

900JPY for primary school kid

The museum is NOT permanent. 

It is only open till 15th of July, 2019. 

The venue is 2nd Floor, Yokohama Asobuilding very close to Yokohama station

The museum has no toilet. Go to toilet before you enter the museum ;)

But there are toilets inside the building. 

This poo museum is rather a fun park than a venue to study about poo academically. If you are more into poo study, we recommend you to visit National Poo Museum in UK. The UK museum is currently moving to a new venue and expects to open in summer in 2019!
